Reading
Time
This section gives NIE candidates an approximate time guide, on a
chapter by chapter basis, for reading the whole of the Investigator's
Manual. It will allow candidates to plan their revision more efficiently.
Multiple-Choice
Question Style
Although this section includes an excerpt from the Blackstone's Sergeants'
and Inspectors' Mock Examination Paper, it is of great relevance to
the TI taking the NIE. The section illustrates the standard MCQ style
that will be used in your examination (and on our 2-day course). It
also shows some styles that are no longer used in NPIA examinations
but are still being proffered by some as acceptable methods of testing
knowledge.
